134. On Disciples Learning What They Should Learn
Ven. Master Hua
In the master-disciple relationship, emphasis is on top-ranking disciples, not a top-ranking teacher. You disciples will become Buddhas in the future, but your teacher will perhaps go back to being a ghost, returning to suffer in the path of hungry ghosts! So you should not imitate your teacher, but instead should learn what you ought to learn.
